Pandemonium As Workers Clash With Police at NHIS Building.

Fresh reports coming from Abuja has it that police officers are currently clashing with workers at the head office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The policemen have also escorted Usman Yusuf, NHIS Executive Secretary who was suspended last week, into his office.

Yusuf had kicked against his suspension by the NHIS governing board, saying he would recommence work on Monday against all odds.

But the NHIS workers union had threatened to lock him out of office.

However, on the early hours of Monday, the worker’s locked the entrance gate, amid heavy security presence.

Yusuf arrived at 8:30am, gained access into the premises and was accompanied to his office with the aid of the policemen.

Picture Policemen on ground also tear gassed the workers in the ensuing fracas.
