Tribunal adjourns Ekiti State election case due to delay in document presentation
Prof. Olusola Kolapo, had advance towards the tribunal to challenge the outcome of the election.
The respondents to the suit were Kayode Fayomi, INEC, and eventual winner of the election.
Adebayo Adelodun (SAN), sought for adjournment after presenting some true copies of permanent voters registers for three local government areas. The case was adjourned until 24th October for further hearing by the chairman of tribunal, Justice Sulieman Belgore. Under the three local government areas,true copies of PVRs for 100 units where presented by the petitioners.
The following respondents counsel, Abiodun Owonikoko (SAN), John Olusola Baiyese(SAN), John Olusola Baiyese(SAN), assembled themselves with the submissions of INEC’s counsel.
The Senior Advocate said that, the inspection process of respondents was extremely slow,taking them about an hour to inspect PVR of one unit which led to the adjournment of the case.
