Dyson, a company renowned for its revolutionizing vacuum cleaners has said in 2017 about it’s plan to design a “radically different ” electric vehicle come 2020.
With some few years to meet the project timeline, Dyson has come open about selecting Singapore as its location for its first electric vehicle plant.
Dyson Group has employed 1,100 workers and 21 million motors are manufactured yearly on autonomous production lines at it’s advanced manufacturing center.
Singapore’s supply chain expertise and manufacturing resources has hit high proximity . The country’s high market growth has proved it right as the location for Dyson to build it’s electric vehicle facility as mentioned in the news release.
This two-story manufacturing development is in credit to the £200m that the consumer technology company is investing in new buildings and testing facilities at its campus at Hullavington Airfield in the UK, where 400 people are been employed to work on its electric vehicle.
The group also stated that an increase double its investment in solid state battery research over the past three years has been acquired.
Construction on its manufacturing facility will begin in December, and is projected to be completed in 2020.
