A team of CID officers instantly set up. During questioning, the shop’s owner told the cops that four Africans burst in, threatened him, stole jewellery and escaped the spot.
The police team searched the area but couldn’t find the gang members. The hunt of the culprits was beefed up.
As the investigation increased, it was found that the suspects were held up in an old, deserted house in a populated area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The Ajman Police team, in cooperation with their Ras Al Khaimah colleagues, invaded the house and arrested all the culprits.
The gang members admitted to their crime and were referred to the public trial.
Lt Col Al Nuaimi applauded the effectiveness and experience of the CID officers who helped in arresting the culprits in a very short time. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the RAK Police for their cooperation.
The CID director urged the public not to hesitate in reporting any suspicious individual trying to commit any crime.
The Ajman Police force have zero tolerance for criminals who make a bid to jeopardised the security of the country and safety of citizens, he noted.
