According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, fart is an expulsion of intestinal gas.
It is hardly an implication of serious health.
Though embarrassing and discomforting, but a normal functioning of the digestive system.
If this fart is persistent and is accompanied by vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, unintentional weight loss, blood in the stool or heartburn. Please see your physician.
Excess upper intestinal gas can be caused by taking uncontrollable amount of air, overeating, smoking or chewing gum.
So, also, excess lower intestinal gas is as a result of eating too much of certain foods, indigestion or upset in the bacteria normally found in the colon.

How to manage it
• Avoid chewing gum
• Limit your intake of gas producing food
• Don’t take soda, beer and carbonated beverages.
• Use enzyme supplements
• Try probiotics
• Stop smoking
