Glycemic index means the rate at which glucose goes into the blood stream .
70-above is high glycemic index
70-50 is medium glycemic index
49-below is low glycemic index
Examples of complex carbohydrate are :
Brown rice ,whole wheat bread ,yam, plantain, fruits and vegetables . Beans ,oats , millet, sorghum, garri ,wheat.
Choose complete protein rather than in complete protein because the complete protein contains all the essential amino acid in their right proportion. But with the aid of protein complementation you can combine two incomplete protein to get a complete protein .
