3 people dead in boat accident in Lagos

Three (3) people have been confirmed dead in a boat accident in Lagos.

The boat was conveying about twenty passengers to Ojo from Coconut jetty, a conurbation in Lagos when the boat sank in the middle of the sea.

Although there was no report on the state of safety of the remaining seventeen accident victims, but three were confirmed dead at the scene of the accident on Wednesday night.

“Three people have died and five other people missing as the boat conveying 20 passengers sank at the middle of the sea in Lagos yesterday night.

“A 20-capacity passenger boat with 18 passengers and two crew members had sank mid-sea to Ojo from Coconut jetty, a conurbation in Lagos.”

However, efforts made to speak with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Kehinde Adebayo, proved fruitless as phone calls were not replied.
