A 10-year-old girl, Lily-Jo, on Monday night, was rushed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, UK, after she attempted to take her own life.
The incident was said to have happened the just a day before her birthday.
Her mother, Jess Brown said, “My daughter is fighting for her life because of bullying,”
Jess speaking to News reporters said ever since her daughter started at a new school in September, she noticed she had become isolated.
“She has been going downhill, not eating, a lot more tired than she used to be,” explained Jess. “After having a long talk with her, she admitted she was being bullied straight away.”
The mother also added that she has been to her school to discuss her daughter’s matter with the staff, but feels “nothing has been resolved”.
In a letter to the head teacher, Cath Crossley, last week, Jess explained how her daughter has “constantly been bullied” by one other female pupil since starting at the school.
“She has pulled her hair, pushed her, smacked Lilly-Jo and also shut a locker door on Lilly-Jo’s head, stamped on her foot when it was broken – the list is endless.
“We will not be sending her back to the school, it’s not worth the risk.”
“I’ve got a daughter now in hospital on her birthday on different drips and being examined by mental health doctors,” she said.
“The doctor said if we had left her two more weeks, she would be dead. I’m not going to bury my child.”
