High estrogens are also linked to infertility, impotence in men and also lowered thyroid function and metabolism.

The truth is, high estrogen levels negatively affect men, much more than women.

But remember, all hormones are useful.

Post menopausal women may actually need extra estrogen.

Estrogen is good for the body, the brain, heart, bones and so forth. So, you don’t want to eliminate estrogen by taking powerful drugs like aromatase inhibitors.

The problem is that modern society has higher levels of estrogen these days, compared to 50 years ago and even 20 years ago. Especially in men.

Of course, many women are on some sort of birth control, which artificially changes the various hormones, including estrogen and progesterone.
