Akwa United defender, Olisa Ndah, has spoken out ahead of the Super Eagles match against Mexico in Los Angeles in July 3.
The international friendly match will be played solely by the home based super eagles players that is players that play in the local Nigeria Professional Football League.
Super Eagles Head coach, Gernot Rohr has dismissed the home based Eagles chances against Mexico but Delta state born Ndah says these crop of home-based Super Eagles have what it takes to cause a stir in America
“Mexico don’t scare us. They may have big name players with quality, but we shall match them grit for grit and skill for skill. We are going into the game as underdogs and we are okay with that and it will spur us to perform well against Mexico,” Ndah told Completesports.
“We are motivated by the fact that we were chosen to play Mexico A Team and the only way to justify the confidence reposed in us is by trying to win the game. It is also an opportunity for us to exhibit our talents and give our career a boost.”
The Super Eagles B Team is expected to jet out to Los Angeles, for the international friendly with Mexico with 22 players and 10 officials on Wednesday, 30 June.
