Mark Consuelos will not be getting a dad bod!

On the Monday, Sept. 2 episode of Live with Kelly & Mark, co-hosts Kelly Ripa, 53, and Consuelos, 53, discussed men’s health. She told her husband that she is ready for him to get a “dad bod,” given that they already share three adult children, Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21.

“I keep waiting for you to come into your dad bod,” Ripa said on the talk show. “When are you going to develop your dad bod, do you think?”

Consuelos quickly shut down the idea, saying, “I don’t plan on it. I don’t plan on it. I plan on trying to stave it off. But it’s natural. They said that nature helped make it happen.”

The co-host goes on to say the body change is “due to a decrease in testosterone.” He added, “We start crying, we lose hair on our eyebrows.”

Ripa reacted in shock to that new information, asking, “Is that what’s happening? You’ve lost hair on your eyebrows?”

Her husband responded, “Yeah, yeah. You get hair other places, like on my ears” — to which Ripa replied, “I’ve never seen any hair on your ears.”

Consuelos admitted that he found a hair in his ear before but never told her. “One time it was really windy, and I felt something hitting me in the ear,” he said, “and I was like, ‘What is that?’ And it was the longest hair.”

Circling back to their conversation about dad bods, Consuelos continued, “But there’s ways to stave it off. There are ways. Total body exercise, working all the major muscles in the body,” he added, noting the importance of cardiovascular training and nutrition.

For decades, Consuelos has been interested in fitness and managed to bulk up while Ripa was pregnant with their eldest son.

Earlier in the episode, Ripa said, “Let me tell you something. You want to know something really irritating? When I was pregnant, Mark decided he was going to join a gym and hire a trainer. And the more pregnant I got, the fitter he got.”

The father of three recently shared a series of summer snaps with his daughter Lola on Instagram. In the photos, the two donned matching jerseys for the water brand Liquid Death and the Italian soccer team Campobasso Football Club, which is owned by Consuelos and Ripa.

“Less than 24 hours before our first game… Forza Lupi,” he wrote in the caption.
