A serial rapist popularly referred to as ‘the Beast of Kavos’ while escaping from Police after he raped a woman, has broken his back when he plunged 100ft into a ravine in Greece.
The man whose real name is Dimitris Aspiotis, 47, preyed on seven British holidaymakers, and fractured his leg, hip and spine and ruptured a kidney when he fell from a cliff in Lefkimmi last Friday.
He was arrested by officers following a three-hour operation to remove him in a stretcher from the secluded spot, the Sun reported.
Police on the Greek island had launched a manhunt for Aspiotis earlier this month after he was linked to the rape of an Albanian woman who claimed she was dragged into a forest and repeatedly raped at knifepoint.
