150 families receive relief packages amid biting hunger due to COVID-19

One hundred and fifty families have benefitted from the distribution of relief packages in Karu local government area of Nasarawa state

  • The families were given food items as coronavirus-induced hunger spread across poor Nigerians homes
  • The foundation responsible for the distribution of the relief packages also sensitised members of the community on how to keep safe

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause hunger in poor Nigerian homes Ray of Hope Empowerment Foundation (ROHEF) has come to the rescue of those in need.

The foundation was able to distribute relief packages to 150 Nigerian families in Nasarawa state with the support of Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF).

The 150 families in Mararaba, Karu local government area of Nasarawa state received items that included rice, beans, yam, spaghetti, noodles, vegetable oil, palm oil, among others.

Reacting to the kind gesture from AHF, ROHEF said: “You are a blessing! We truly appreciate your organization for joining us to respond to the needs of families within Nigeria and across the world.

The foundation responsible for the distribution of the relief packages also sensitised members of the community on how to keep safe.

Members of the community were also sensitised on simple steps they need to take to help them keep safe and stop the further spread of COVID-19.
