There is a popular sentiment that African/Nigerian fathers are not well-versed when it comes to communicating verbally, their love for their children.

It is said that it is very rare and uncommon for a Nigerian Father to tell his Child ”I love you” or even know how to reply when he is told that sentence.
A good example of this is a current trend on twitter where a user asked other twitter users to share tell their fathers ”I love you” and share the reply they get afterwards.

Popular comic actor, Victor Osuagwu turned out the way most people would expect as he could only reply ”Congratulations” to his daughter’s ”I love you”…. LOL
