Nigerian footballer, Obafemi Martins has rejoined Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua after two years without a club.
The former Nigerian international has struggled with a hamstring injury since playing his last game in April 2018 for the Chinese Super League side, where he scored 19 goals in 40 matches during his first spell.
The 35-year-old is now ready to return to action and will fill the void left by Odion Ighalo, who recently extended his loan spell at Manchester United until January 2021.
Speaking at his second unveiling, Martins who had two spells in the Premier League with Newcastle United said: ‘I had been bothered by injuries. It’s a good feeling to come back to a team I’m familiar with.’
