Andy Grammer – “Wish You Pain” (Studio Performance)
“I know that if you smile too much people will sometimes think you’re stupid. I’ve made peace with that. I smile anyway.” There’s always a little bit of philosophy in Andy Grammer’s tunes. The guy behind “Fresh Eyes” and “Honey, I’m Good,” is an LA native whose zest for his chosen profession is obvious in all his work. After three albums and some sizable tours, Grammer’s ‘Naive’ dropped in the middle of this past summer. Don’t believe the title; the songwriter shows plenty of insights on this new offering, and sings with more authority than ever before – even when he’s waxing poignant, like he is in “Don’t Give Up On Me,” which was featured in the film, ‘Five Feet Apart.’ Grammer hit our Times Square studios with singers and string players for runs through “Wish You Pain” and “Best of You.”
