In one of my more popular videos with almost 8 million views, titled “4 Clinically Proven Ways To Increase Your Testosterone” … which I’ll give you the link to that video in a minute… Someone asked,
“does Tumeric or Curcummin increase or decrease testosterone levels? I did research and I’m getting conflicting results. Please help give me clarity.”

It’s a good question because you’re right – there are studies showing that it does increase testosterone and some showing it decreases it.

For those of you who don’t know what this herb is, basically curcumin as a naturally-occuring chemical found in the spice, turmeric.

So, the real benefits are with the active ingredient or extract, curcumin.

You’d have to take a lot of turmeric powder, to get some of the positive benefits of curcummin.

That’s why I suggest taking specific forms of concentrated curcumin extract, which is far more potent than taking spoonfuls of the spice, turmeric.

Now, curcumin has lots of benefits and one of the primary one is to reduce inflammation. THIS is a vital key for health, fitness and longevity.

And a major benefit of reducing inflammation is less pain.

Which we all need as we age.

As far as testosterone production, one of the benefits of curcumin is a slight reduction in estrogen levels.

In men, as estrogen increases, testosterone decreases due to negative feedback loops with the hypothalamus, pituitary gland… which will then affect GnRH, FSH, LH and so on and so forth.

Thus, by lowering estrogen, you’ll naturally increase testosterone levels.

So, this is ONE of the indirect ways taking curcumin may help increase testosterone, by decreasing estrogen levels.

However, don’t expect miracles.

Besides, there are other factors and hormones involved when it comes to optimizing testosterone — DHT, free and bound testosterone, prolactin, SHBG, cortisol and so forth.

Use curcumin and other anti-inflammatory herbs to reduce inflammation and pain, but not for increasing testosterone.
