Bradley Walsh broke down in tears on This Morning while Phillip Schofield struggled to speak after an eye-opening care home segment
This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield struggled to get their words out as they fought back tears on Thursday’s show.
The programme aired a devastating care home segment speaking to families torn apart by the pandemic, unable to be close to their loved ones in care.
Bradley Walsh appeared via video call and called the footage “heartbreaking”, as a mum named Ruth was no longer allowed to see her son Sam, who has Huntington’s disease, after visiting him every day for three hours for seven months before the pandemic.
Bradley apologised as he broke down in tears imagining how difficult it would be to have your loved one in a care home alone, traumatising both parties and leaving the patient to die alone.
