A child, aged six, is among three people critically injured after a school bus crashed in a “horrible accident” in New York state.
At least 12 are reported to have been injured after the yellow bus collided with a truck on a two-lane road in New Windsor, Orange County, 66 miles from New York City.
The drivers of both vehicles are understood to be among those rushed to hospital, while a six-year-old girl was “pinned behind the bus driver” and had to be pulled from the wreckage, according to a televised report on ABC.
Her family has told the network, however, “she will recover” and is in a critical but stable condition.
