A mum from Greater Manchester had admitted to being treated differently because of her name, from getting prank calls to weird looks when booking a table at a restaurant

A mum who was named after the midwife who delivered her has revealed her struggle to cope with the abuse she faces on a daily basis.

Corona Newton, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, admitted she has been bullied for her name for as long as she can remember – even before the coronavirus pandemic.

The 49-year-old civil servant said: “People used to call me Guinness and Budweiser.

“That I could always laugh off. But this is more frustrating, especially when it gets aggressive,” reports  BBC.

Corona said that no-one takes her seriously when she tries to book a table at a restaurant.

She used to be able to laugh off any jokes, but the abuse has only got worse
