Manchester City football club has launched a complaint with SkySports after pundit and Manchester United favourite, Roy Keane offered a scathing review of Man City defender, Kylie Walker following their draw with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Keane launched a scathing attack on Kyle Walker as the England international was at fault for Liverpool’s opener after he fouled Sadio Mane in the area.

Asked how Mane was able to win the penalty, Keane told Sky Sports: “Because he’s up against an idiot.

Keane added: “Kyle Walker, people keep telling me he’s playing. I don’t think so.

“I think this guy, he’s 30 years of age, international player, he’s a car crash.

“Keeps making these types of mistakes and rightly punished for it.”

According to the Daily Mail, Man City feel Keane went too far in calling Walker an “idiot” and have made launched a complaint with SkySports.

Keane has developed a reputation as one of the most blunt pundits as he is well known for his no-nonsense approach to analysis.

Fellow pundit Jamie Carragher recently defended Keane, claiming he “is one of the best” in sports punditry.

“I think he’s a delight on Sky, one of the best pundits out there,” Carragher told talkSPORT . “He’s the master with one line. Kills someone, finishes someone off.

“That’s Roy Keane’s style and he’s the best at it. When you work with people like that it keeps you on your toes.

“You have a team and everyone brings something different.”
