Aloe Blacc – Wake Me Up (Live Performance)
Avicii and Aloe Blacc made quite a team. The world was introduced to the American singer’s deeply compelling vocals on the Swedish producer’s 2013 global hit, “Wake Me Up.” Avicii was taking a pop strain of EDM to the next level, and Blacc’s soaring voice helped ignite one of the most inspiring tracks of the last decade. Avicii’s 2018 death left a sizable hole in the music, but on this year’s ‘Tim,’ a release of tracks the young producer had been working on prior to passing, gave us another valuable collab: the two paired up for the track, “SOS.” Blacc, who impressed lots of fans with “The Man” a few years ago, swung by to update “Wake Me Up” and give us personalized spin on “SOS.” They came out great.
