A 63-year-old former gangster and Indian lawmaker, Mukhtar Ansari, has died of cardiac arrest in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
Mukhtar Ansari, who was a former gangster leader before joining politics, had been in prison since 2005.
