A bride-to-be has moved forward with her honeymoon following the death of her fiancé shortly before their wedding.

In a video shared on TikTok, a woman named Murphy detailed that her partner died one month before they were set to walk down the aisle.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Murphy has chosen to share her trip to London, where the couple planned to honeymoon, on social media. “I decided to document my journey because grief can be incredibly isolating,” she said in a voiceover with the clip.

“Maybe I’ll connect with even one other person out there who has been through something similar,” the woman continued.

In a follow-up video, Murphy shared a look at her first day in London, where she admitted during a tour of her hotel room that it “really hit” her that her fiancé was not there to experience the trip with her.

Days later, Murphy shared a video of herself sitting in London’s Hyde Park, where she expressed her thanks to those who showed her support amid her solo trip.

“I wanted to make a video to say how thankful I am for all of the messages and comments that I’ve received. I truly just been so overwhelmed with all the love, and I wish I could respond to all of you and hang out with every single one of you,” she said.

Murphy then further detailed why she decided to make her TikTok videos, explaining, “Grief is a really weird process, and how I am feeling today might be totally different from how I feel tomorrow.”

She also spoke more in-depth about her late fiancé, who she described as being “very selfless, especially when it came to me.”

“He literally just always wanted to do what he could to make me happy, and I that he would want me to go on adventures and try to live my life,” Murphy continued.
