Cristiano Ronaldo’s house in Madeira has been burgled, according to local reports in Portugal.

According to Diario Noticias and Madeira Island News, the suspect entered the property when a maintenance employee opened the garage door.

It is claimed the trespasser did not stay for long in the residence and made off with a signed Juventus shirt, worth roughly €200 (£182), and other small objects.

A member of Ronaldo’s family alerted the authorities leading to the arrival of the Public Security Police and plain-clothed officers from the Technical Police Unit.

Internal CCTV has allowed the authorities to see the thief, who is known to them.

No arrests have been made.
