One particular part of far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) Fourth of July message didn’t sit well with critics.

The Donald Trump-devoted Georgia congresswoman marked Independence Day on Thursday with a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“Today, we remember the sacrifices made by those who came before us to secure our liberty,” the conspiracy theory-peddling lawmaker wrote.

She added, “Let’s stand strong against tyranny and ensure that America remains the land of the free and home of the brave!”

Happy Independence Day!

Today, we remember the sacrifices made by those who came before us to secure our liberty.

Let’s stand strong against tyranny and ensure that America remains the land of the free and the home of the brave! 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/VCuQQhtKf5— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) July 4, 2024

It was the “stand strong against tyranny” part that riled people:

MTG says “stand strong against tyranny” while she stands with a war criminal, murderer, and dictator, Putin, and promotes the strengthening of Russia which will be detrimental to our future safety.— Brian Pearson 🇺🇸🌊💙🟧 (@btrekman1) July 4, 2024

“Stand strong against tyranny”???

That’s pretty funny coming from someone who supports a corrupt, criminal, wannabe tyrant that admires homicidal dictators and strongmen and plans on installing an authoritarian regime if he cons his way back into the White House… https://t.co/thleiistCE— Bob Portune (@BobPortune) July 4, 2024
