Do Taller Guys Have Higher Testosterone?
=
Over the years, I’ve had a lot of guys ask how they can get taller and I’ve done videos about that subject.

I’ve also had lots of questions about how to increase testosterone levels and yes, I’ve done a ton of videos about that subject as well.

And at the end of this video, I’ll give you direct links to these specific video topics.

However, I’ve never done a video about today’s topic, that a viewer sent me, “hey doc – do taller guys have higher testosterone levels?”

So I did some research and I couldn’t find any definitive answers or clinical research specific about height and testosterone levels.

However, I did find some indirect and interesting research.

First, some research does show that taller men have higher testosterone levels.

However, there’s research that also shows giving testosterone injections to teenage boys going through puberty, may prevent them from reaching their maximum height.

Then I found research that showed shorter men have lower testosterone. However, digging deeper into the various studies, also showed these “lower testosterone” guys who were shorter, happen to have higher estrogen levels.

Unfortunately, none of these studies did a comparison using a full hormone panel, measuring various hormone levels – such as testosterone, female hormones such as various estrogens, progesterone and prolactin… Stress hormones such as cortisol and peptides like Growth Hormone and IGF.

Needless to say, all of these different studies will just confuse you and are misleading.

However, here are 3 basic facts about getting taller:
Genetics always controls how tall you’ll be. However, being malnourished, not having enough calories, proteins, healthy fats – including saturated fats which contain cholesterol and thus, hormone production, will cause you to NOT reach your maximum genetic height potential.

Testosterone is not the problem when it comes to height, but instead, it’s what testosterone can convert to in men and that’s various estrogens. Estrogen fuses the bones. Below this video in the description area, I’ve put links about reducing excess estrogen levels.

You want to increase Growth Hormone and IGF levels. The best way to do this is to get as much sleep as possible.

Optimizing testosterone levels at any age, especially as we get older, is good for your health, muscles, brain and yes – getting taller.

However, excess and high estrogen is bad… Because it indirectly lowers testosterone and it fuses your bones prematurely and thus, doesn’t allow you to reach your maximum genetic height potential.

Hence the saying “short and fat” or “skinny/fat”.

If you are fat or overweight or have gynecomastia or “man boobs”, then you have too much estrogen.

Testosterone is your friend, especially when it’s optimized naturally from within – But NOT when taken exogenously, such as testosterone injections.

Let’s keep it simple – if you want to be more manly… Thus, taller, bigger, stronger, more muscular, lean abs, more energy, higher sex drive, and bigger, harder, fuller erections – then maximize your testosterone levels and optimize your hormones.

This also means lowering excess or high estrogen – especially if you’re goal is to get taller and you’re still going through puberty.

In the description area below, I’ve listed import links to articles and videos about:
