The US President tweeted that his campaign was “up big” – and made a fairly embarrassing typo in his message

Donald Trump has accused Joe Biden of trying to “steal” the US election, claiming he is heading for a “big win.”

The US President’s tweet came as frontrunner Biden gave a speech urging voters to be patient and wait for mail in votes to be counted before declaring anyone the victor.

Trump is expected to make a speech from the White House shortly.

But first, the President tweeted: “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election.

“We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Poles (sic) are closed.”

The President is referring to some states which are allowing postal votes to be counted up to three days after the deadline – as long as they are postmarked before polls closed.
