Chelsea, on Saturday, beat Luton 3-2 away from home to seal their last match of 2023 with a hard-fought win.
Luton were losing 3-0 until the 80th minute, when Ross Barkey, who once played for Chelsea, slotted a precise header after a corner kick. The home side put pressure on Chelsea when Elijah Adebayo scored another in the 87th minute.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was yet again the star of the match, being involved in all three goals. He scored Chelsea’s fastest goal of the season in the 12th minute, and after 15 minutes, he assisted Noni Madueke, who scored Chelsea’s second after a quick counter.
Palmer added to his tally in the 70th minute after rounding Luton’s keeper to slot in a cheeky goal following an assist from Nikolas Jackson.
Chelsea’s win means that they have now won two straight back-to-back wins, as they currently sit 10th with 28 points after 20 games.
