Arsenal defender, David Luiz, hit his teammate Dani Ceballos during a violent confrontation at the club’s training ground during international break.
According to reports emanating from London, Luiz was angry that Ceballos gave him a late tackle and nearly injured him.
Club manager, Mikel Arteta put those players that didn’t link up with their national team through physical tests last Friday but according to The Athletic, Luiz reacted furiously when Arteta blew the final whistle.
According to the Athletic, the furious Luiz struck his team-mate in the face at the end of the practice session, scratching him enough to bring out blood from his face.
The report also says Luiz hit Ceballos on the nose and sent him tumbling to the ground, but when the midfielder returned to his feet and went to confront him they were then split up by team-mates and coaching staff.
The report adds that the pair were then sent home by Arteta and given three days off before returning to their London Colney training complex on Tuesday November 17.
The report also adds that Luiz and Ceballos have apologised to their colleagues and settled their beef.
