A 13-year-old girl was found hanged at her home in Wales, an inquest into her death heard today.
Shoolgirl Chantelle Jones was discovered at her house in Wrexham, north Wales, on October 1, just after 6pm.
Despite frantic efforts to save her, the Castell Alun High School pupil was pronounced dead.
The teen’s school described pupils’ and teachers’ ‘devastation’ at her loss, reports North Wales Live.
At the opening of her inquest at Ruthin County Hall today, coroner John Gittins said Chantelle’s death was reported to him by North Wales Police.
He said she was “found hanging, not conscious or breathing”.
