Halsey revealed that she was hospitalized after suffering a seizure.

On September 25, the pop star — who uses she/they pronouns — shared the news while answering fan questions on X, formerly Twitter.

The singer, 29, responded to one fan who asked for an update on her health. Earlier this year, she shared that she was diagnosed with a form of lupus, as well as another rare disease two years ago.

“I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!” Halsey wrote.

“Was it related to chronic health issues or something new/acute? I hope you’re feeling better!” another person asked before she replied, “I had a seizure! Very Scary! Don’t recommend it!”

Hours later, the “Bad at Love” singer posted a video on Instagram from the hospital bed with an IV alongside fiancé Avan Jogia.

“Happy late Bi Visibility Day,” she captioned the post. “This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke).”

In the clip, the couple wished her followers a Happy Bi Visibility Day, with Halsey adding, “We had a whole plan for you guys,” while laughing and throwing up a peace sign.

“Lol I’m so glad you posted this,” Jogia added in the comments.

Back in June, Halsey revealed that she was diagnosed with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022.

“Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life,” she shared on Instagram at the time.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system mistakes healthy tissues as foreign invaders and attacks them rather than targeting the bad bacteria and viruses. It causes inflammation that can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. There is currently no cure for the disease.

Lymphoproliferative disorders are a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled production of white blood cells called lymphocytes, according to Healthline. T-cell disorders include leukemia and lymphoma.

Halsey explained that despite a “rocky start,” she was able to slowly get her health under control with the help of her doctors.

“After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to,” she ended. “I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all 🤍 Singing and screaming my heart out.”
