Ice Spice’s highly anticipated debut album — and a world tour! — is finally coming this summer.
On Wednesday, June 5, the “Princess Diana” rapper, 24, announced the release date for her upcoming LP, Y2K, on social media. “HIIIII >.< ,” she wrote to fans, “Y2K ☆ THE ALBUM WILL BE DROPPING JULY 26TH !!!!”
The Grammy-nominated Bronx native also unveiled her album’s cover artwork, confirming it was shot by legendary photographer and “the goat” David LaChapelle.
It shows the Like.. ? artist looking over her shoulder in front of a concrete wall and a recreated New York City subway stairwell with the letters “I-C-E” spelled out as train lines. A nearby garbage can also has Y2K sprayed-painted in neon pink and green, while “Ice Spice” is written out in graffiti across the cover.
Along with her album news, Ice Spice also revealed that she’s heading out on a world tour that starts on July 4 in Roskilde, Denmark. The rapper’s first-ever global outing — where she’ll be joined by her longtime producer RIOTUSA and fellow Bronx rapper/special guest Cash Cobain on North American dates — will hit places across Europe and the UK before stopping in U.S. cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and, of course, N.Y.C.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m.
In January, Ice Spice confirmed that she’d nearly finished recording her forthcoming album, which is inspired by her Jan. 1, 2000 birthdate, during an appearance on TODAY. “Yes, there’s going to be an album this year,” she announced along with the Y2K title. “It’s almost finished, so I’m really excited.”
At the time, the “Barbie World” rap star didn’t elaborate too much on details but shared that she “of course” has some collaborations on the record.
“I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in, like, two days ago,” she teased, playfully rolling her Rs on “crazy” for emphasis.
Ice Spice dropped the first hint about Y2K back in November when she posted photos of herself on Instagram showing off a lower back tattoo. “Y2K! ?/?/24,” she captioned the post.

Since then, the Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj collaborator has dropped breadcrumbs of what fans can expect to hear on her forthcoming album with singles like “Think U the S— (Fart)” and “Gimme a Light,” the latter of which the rapper premiered during her debut Coachella performance in April.
Speaking to Apple Music’s Zane Loweabout the song last month, Ice Spice admitted she was “nervous” about putting out the RIOTUSA-produced single, which samples Sean Paul’s 2002 hit of the same name, because of how “iconic” the original is.
“You know Sean Paul, he’s legendary, and that song alone, his ‘Gimme the Light,’ is so iconic, I was so nervous to sample it,” the rapper shared, “‘cause I’m like, ‘This isn’t going to get cleared, so what’s the point?’”
Thankfully, she said the track did get cleared, and she’s grateful because “we really wanted to have a very authentic Y2K sample” featured on the new album.

According to FOX 5 New York, Ice Spice commemorated her album’s rollout last month by selling 50,000 Ice Spice MetroCards across N.Y.C. They were made available at subway stations located in the Bronx and Manhattan.
Recently, Ice Spice hopped on the remixof Cobain’s hit song “Fisherrr” featuring Bay Swag. The trio also put out a music video for the track set in her native New York City.
Following the release of her debut album, Ice Spice will appear in Spike Lee’s next film, a reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 thriller High and Low starring Denzel Washington.
