Jonathan Owens is one proud husband.

On Monday, July 1, the Chicago Bears safety, 28, praised his wife Simone Biles, 27, after she earned a spot on her third Olympic team on Sunday, June 30, at the 2024 U.S. Olympic trials in Minneapolis.

Owens shared a cute photo of him kissing his wife while holding a mask of her face. He also posted multiple snaps from the weekend’s events among the carousel of images shared on Instagram.

“No words can describe how proud of you i am baby 🤎 ” the NFL star said of the gymnast, who is now heading to the Paris2024 Games later this month. “Just knowing all the work that you put in and everything that you’ve been through, and to still come back and be as dominant as ever, i was speechless.”

“I’m so thankful to be apart of this journey with you, and i cant wait to be able to watch you out there in Paris. I’m so happy for you babe!!!! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷,” the athlete, who married Biles on April 22, 2023, added.

“Cheers to going to your third Olympic Games!!!!!! Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to EVER do it, how did i get so lucky 😌 I love you so much 🤞🏽🤞🏽,” he concluded.

Owens’ comments come after Biles confirmed the Bears had given Owens some time off to support her in the French capital as she goes for more gold medals.

The gymnast told reporters after her win on Sunday, “The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he’ll be there,” adding, “Yes, for just a short little time.”

“I think it’s super exciting that we get to be in each other’s elements and supporting each other’s dreams and goals,” Biles shared. “It is these memories that we make that we’ll never get back.”

“Anytime we can show up for one another and support, we just get super excited because our schedules don’t align that much,” she continued. “So whenever it does, it’s really important for the both of us to show up and support.”

Paris 2024 will mark Biles’ third Olympic Games. She is just the fourth female gymnast ever to qualify for three U.S. teams, following in the footsteps of Muriel Grossfeld, Linda Metheny, and Dominique Dawes.
