Kanye West asks rivals Drake and Taylor Swift for help as he vows to change music industry contracts

Kanye West has called for his rivals Drake and Taylor Swift to join his battle to change music industry contracts so artists can own their masters.

The rapper, who is running for president, has been sounding off on Twitter about the way the industry works as he threatened to stop releasing music until he is free from his current contract with Universal.

In a series of tweets, the 43-year-old vowed to help free artists from their contracts and put the power and wealth into the hands of the creative.

And he revealed just how serious he was about his quest as he called out to some of his biggest rivals to get help from his cause.

He wrote: ‘Bono can I get a retweet Love you Paul can I get a retweet love you Drake Kendrick even Taylor We need you right noooooow. (sic)’

And in other tweets, he called for ‘every lawyer in the world’ to look at his contracts with Universal as he shared screenshots of every single page on social media.

He tweeted: ‘Everyone at Universal and Vivendi please understand that I will do everything in my legal power and use my voice until all artist contracts are changed, starting with getting my masters for my children. I will not stop I promise you, I’m am petty and very personal.’
Kanye then asked his followers to pray with him and thanked God for giving him the ‘strength’ to take on this battle.

Earlier in the day, Kanye tweeted: ‘We’ve gotten comfortable with not having what we deserve … they allow us to have a little money from touring get some gold chains some alcohol some girls and fake numbers that feed our egos … but we don’t own our masters.

Kanye continued his feud with his label in a series of tweets
‘We our supporting other people’s kids … we could spend our whole life in the music industry but our kids gotta go work for another company when they grow up.(sic)’

Ye continued: ‘I am the only person who can speak on this because I made multi billions outside of music no musicians make billions inside of music I’m going to change this.
