Kate Garraway tearfully opens up on keeping hope “alive” through gardening, amid her husband Derek Draper’s fight for life in a new clip – after she was often warned he might not make it through the night.
The Good Morning Britain star appears on Gardeners’ World on Friday night, revealing how gardening has helped her during the Coronavirus lockdown.
Her husband was struck down with Covid-19 in March, and was placed in an induced coma shortly after.
Derek remains in hospital and isn’t out of the woods, she confirmed, but gardening helped her through her turmoil.
In a clip from Friday’s episode, a tearful Kate speaks honestly about some of the tough times from the past few months.
