A man is in a critical condition after being shot in the stomach with a crossbow.

The 33-year-old was found just after 8pm on Monday suffering with an abdominal injury in Uxbridge, west London.

He was rushed to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests have yet been made and police are continuing to search for the attacker.

Cordons remain in place in Pield Heath Road near the junction with Copperfield Avenue.
