Manchester City have reportedly offered at least £100million to Tottenham for England striker Harry Kane.

The Premier League champions have been linked with the Kane this summer after he expressed his desire to move away from north London in search of trophies.

According to Sports mail, City have started their bidding with an offer of at least £100m but Spurs are not prepared to accept that fee.

The report claims that City are willing to offer players and cash for the 27-year-old forward but Spurs will reject their advances.

Tottenham have slapped a £150m price tag on Kane and are desperate to keep hold of their star man.

City are on the hunt for a new long-term successor to Sergio Aguero, who left the Etihad to join Barcelona on a free transfer.

Sportsmail revealed that Kane informed Tottenham of his desire to leave after a poor season that saw them miss out on European football, and also crash out of the Europa League in humiliating fashion.

Kane told Spurs of his wish to depart before the end of last season and speculation over his future continues.

Weeks later, Kane had a candid chat with former coach Gary Neville, where Kane said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may even want to sell him if he can get £100m.

‘(Levy) has been fair with me,’ said Kane on Neville’s YouTube channel The Overlap.

‘He’s never kind of just held me to a contract and said, “No, I’ve paid you that. You’re going to stay on that”.

‘I’m not sure how that conversation will go if I’m honest. I mean he might want to sell me. He might be thinking, “If I could get £100million for you, then why not?”

‘I’m not going to be worth that for the next two or three years. I think a crossroads is coming in my career. I think it’s definitely a conversation to be had with the club. I’ve said before, I’d never say that I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never say that I would leave Spurs.’

The striker is gearing up for England’s final Group D clash with Czech Republic on Tuesday June 22, but he’s had a disappointing start to the tournament.
