Marc E. Bassy – “Where We’re From” (Studio Performance)
Marc E. Bassy had plenty of plenty of ideas to investigate when the 2AM Club took an extended break a few years ago. The band’s frontman is endlessly creative and the music on his subsequent ‘East Hollywood,’ and ‘Groovy People’ discs revealed a lot about his interests, skills, and the variety of influences that go into his current sound. “I don’t think there’s anyone that goes all the way from the hood to straight Top 40 radio like I do,” he has said. “Where We’re From” is a good example of that, a street vibe mixed with killer hooks. He and his buds threw a feisty performance together when they set up shop in our New York studio.
