Married at Second Sight — hopefully.
After starting season 17 by making history as the first groom to be left at the altar, Michael is giving blind love another shot on Married at Fist Sight.
Michael prepared for his second wedding day. This time, in a pink suit.
“This is unprecedented for Married at First Sight, this has never happened before, you know, attempting a wedding again,” he tells 360aproko about his second wedding day.
Fans may remember the emotional moment when a teary-eyed bride made her way down the aisle, and told Michael, “I don’t think I can do this,” before running out of the room. A hurt Michael was left to pick up the pieces of his wedding day with his closest friends.
Although the runaway bride left him heartbroken, Michael says that he’s OK with making history and shaking things up for the franchise.
“On one hand selfishly, I’m glad I could be a trailblazer making history for Married at First Sight,” he says. “On the other hand, I hope it sets the groundwork for something really special.”
He adds, “Despite that, I’m not letting that impact me in any way. I’m not taking any residuals from that. I want this to be our day and I’m still optimistic and excited about today. I am ready to be somebody’s husband, hopefully a woman who will appreciate this attire.”
Enter Chloe, Michael’s new bride, who is wearing a pair of pink sneakers for the big day — but she’s not ready to run.
“I am nervous, just about who is standing at the end of the aisle,” “I believe he’s my person, that marrying a stranger is a lot and it’s a really scary moment that brings with it a wave of emotions.”
Michael is ready to do it all over again.
“Is it possible that I get stranded at the altar twice? Sure,” he says. “Do I want that to happen? Not really.”
