Meghan Markle taught her husband Harry about ‘ancestral healing’ to help him break the cycle of ‘genetic pain’, it has been reported.

Earlier this month Prince Harry told Dax Shephard in a podcast that he wants to “break the cycle” of the “pain and suffering” of his upbringing with his own children.

Harry, who is expecting a daughter with wife Meghan and is already father to son Archie, aged two, compared his life to “a mixture between The Truman Show and being in a zoo”.

In an apparent criticism of his own father and even the Queen indirectly, Harry said he had endured “some form of pain or suffering” because of his own dad’s experiences growing up.

Now, 360aproko reports that an insider has claimed that Meghan introduced Harry to ‘ancestral healing’ to deal with his trauma.

An insider claimed: “She said she learned about generational trauma from her mum who started taking her to weekly services at Agapé International and credits it’s founder Michael Beckwith for teaching her about spirituality.

“Meghan said both she and Harry come from a long lineage of pain and suffering, generations of genetic baggage and that it’s now up to them to break the cycle once and for all.”

The unnamed source added: “Meghan is also a big advocate of tapping therapy and said she started tapping regularly after watching the documentary Heal.”

The emotional freedom technique is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress, also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure.

The publication also reports that Meghan practices ‘Reiki’ on herself which is a Japanese form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as ‘energy healing.’

It involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their patient.

In the new Apple series, Harry spoke about losing his mum Diana when he was just 12-years-old, and how he felt angry that the world mourned her when they hadn’t even met her.

He memorably walked behind his mum’s coffin at her funeral with his brother Prince William and other members of the Royal Family.

Harry explained: “(I was) showing one tenth of the emotion that everybody else was showing: This was my mum – you never even met her.

“I was so angry with what happened to her and that there was no justice, at all. Nothing came from that.”
