Mindy Kaling is loving summertime with her three kids. The 45-year-old actress and writer took to Instagram to share sweet photos and videos from her time in the sun with her 6-year-old daughter, Katherine, her 3-year-old son, Spencer, and her 4-month-old daughter, Anne.
“A sandy/salty skin/no makeup/freezing cold perfect waves/lots of sunscreen/frosting/outside for hours kind of Independence Day,” Kaling captioned the post on Thursday.
In one selfie a smiling Kaling wears a wide-brimmed straw hat with a white ribbed swimsuit. She also shared several pics of her older kids playing together in the sand, eating homemade cupcakes and enjoying the ocean.
The Office alum also included a sweet selfie with baby Anne, featuring half of the little girl’s face in profile and a big head of dark hair. Anne’s tiny hand also makes a cameo, grabbing for her mom’s finger as the two enjoy the idyllic beach view.
Kaling surprised fans late last month when she revealed that she had secretly welcomed her third child.
“In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined,” Kaling wrote. “When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!”
Kaling has chosen to keep the identity of her children’s fathers private, previously describing herself as a single parent.
This is the second time that Kaling welcomed a child while keeping it a secret from the public. The Mindy Projectstar welcomed her son, Spencer, in September 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic at a time when fans hadn’t even known she was pregnant.
