A Pennsylvania mom convicted in the hanging murders of her two young childrenwas sentenced to prison, according to multiple reports.
According to NBC News, the Reading Eagleand WPVI, 41-year-old Lisa Snyder was given two life sentences without parole.
As previously reported that Snyder was found guilty of killing her 8-year-old son Conner and 4-year-old daughter Brinley in September 2019.
According to reports, the mother declined to address the court and displayed no emotion during the court hearing on Thursday, Oct. 18.
Snyder was given an additional 8 1/2 to 17 years in prison on child endangerment and evidence-tampering convictions.
Berks County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Theresa Johnson also reportedly described the murders as the most violent she had seen in her career.
She also stated that Snyder had shown no remorse for her actions.
The victims’ 22-year-old brother, Owen, described Snyder as a “monster,” adding that he no longer views her as his mother.

Snyder also initially claimed that she called the police after finding her two children hanging in the basement from the opposite ends of the same dog lead.
Meanwhile, prosecutors found that evidence revealed the defendant had bought the dog lead the day before the murders at a local Walmart.
According to NBC News, Snyder’s online searches consisted of how to kill someone, episodes of a documentary crime series I Almost Got Away With It, suicide and death by hanging.
“We are very pleased with the verdict,” Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams previously told us following the defendant’s guilty verdict. “It’s something that will probably never leave our minds, because it was unimaginable. None of us could ever have imagined the brutality and the horrific loss of life. We’re very pleased that Lisa Snyder will never see the light of day and will spend the rest of her life in jail where she belongs.”
