Things will be a little different in Morrisons’ stores across the country from this Sunday – but its a move that parents loved when they first tried it out two years ago
From Sunday, Morrsions is making a change to how its stores operate in an effort to help parents
The supermarket giant announced it will be introducing new ‘quieter hours’, where all stores in the UK will have no music, checkout beeps or PA announcements for the first hour of shopping on Sunday.
Quiet hours will operate from 10am-11am for stores that open from 10-4pm on a Sunday, Manchester Evening News reports.
Quieter hours already operate every Saturday between 9am and 10am in all Morrisons stores.
Morrisons says the initiative was first introduced in 2018 after listening to families affected by autism who shared their difficulties in shopping in noisy and busy environments.
