Nigerians have taken to social media to call out Funmi Iyanda after she invited the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo on her show: Public Eye Live on Instagram.
In his position as chairman, Mc Oluomo has been accused of everything, from fostering a culture of thuggery in Lagos roads to manipulating elections in favour of whatever political party he aligns himself with.
According to many Nigerians who aired their opinions o Twitter, the man Mc Oluomo is not worth emulating and should not have been given a platform of that class.
Most critics argued that Funmi Iyanda and her associates are subtly encouraging thuggery, which Mc Olumo is popularly known for, before ascending the top position of the NURTW in Lagos.
“Either deliberate or not, whatever it is MC Oluomo got going with the PR stunt is impressive. But it’ll require a lot more to stop me from associating him or NURTW with bloodshed and a reign of terror. Childhood days in Isolo, my mother had a shop at Afariogun in Oshodi” Ayo Bankole wrote
A user however has a different thought as he believed the NURTW boss is full of ideas“MC Oluomo’s live session with Funmi Iyanda was insightful. He was dignified, knowledgeable, smart, composed and affectionately brilliant. He’s a got a lot of ideas and Lagos will benefit greatly from his wealth of knowledge and experience. God bless him”
