The 83-year-old Olojoda of Oda, in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Julius Ajayi Adewumi Omomo, has joined his ancestors.

Oba Omomo was installed in May last, following the demise of the previous traditional ruler, who died after a brief illness.

His death was confirmed by a family friend, Chief Prince Ade Adelakun.

Adelakun described the deceased monarch as a humble, decent, and down-to-earth monarch.

According to him, “the late monarch cared for his subjects as well as the unity and progress of the state.

He also described the deceased monarch’s years of reign as remarkably eventful.
