The cell phone belonging to the missing Chicago woman who traveled to the Bahamas for a yoga retreat has reportedly been found.

Taylor Casey, 41, was last seen on Wednesday, June 19, in the area of Paradise Island, the Royal Bahamas Police Force said in a statement on June 21.

Organizers of the yoga certification retreat that Casey was attending, the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas, also confirmed her disappearance after she failed to show up to class on June 20.

On Wednesday, June 26, Royal Bahamas Police Force Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said that Casey’s cell phone had been found in the ocean, according to CNNand local media outlet the Nassau Guardian.

Per local independent outlet the CSJ Report, Casey’s friend Sara also said that the cell phone had been found.

“We have conducted extensive investigation into the matter,” Skippings said in a press conference, per CNN. “Our priority is to find Taylor and to find Taylor in good health.”

Skippings not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The officer said police had been utilizing drones, search-and-rescue dogs, divers, as well as checking CCTV cameras amid the ongoing investigation, CNN reported.

Skippings added that authorities had been working with Casey’s family as well as speaking with yoga retreat attendees, the outlet added.

While speaking to CBS News, Casey’s mother, Colette Seymore, said, “Oh my God, I miss Taylor. Taylor should not be missing as far as I’m concerned.”

“I heard from Taylor Tuesday, that was the last time Taylor had sent me pictures of Taylor in the Atlantic ocean, saying, ‘I miss you, mom. I miss you. Look, I’m at the beach,’ ” Seymore said of last speaking with her daughter on June 18.

“Taylor always calls me, keeps in touch. Taylor sent me beautiful pictures from the Bahamas, Taylor in the ocean,” Seymore added to ABC News. “We want Taylor home. We need Taylor in our lives. We miss Taylor.”

The outlet stated Seymore had now traveled to the Bahamas to help with the search for her daughter.

“I believe Taylor is in danger because she was eager to share her yoga retreat experience with others upon her return,” Seymore said in a statement posted on a“Find Taylor Casey” Facebook page earlier this week.

“Taylor would never disappear like this,” Seymore insisted.

Casey has been a yoga practitioner for 15 years. Attending the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat was part of her “long-term goal of deepening her practice,” her family said in their statement.

Casey is described as a light-skinned Black woman with a slim build. She is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 145 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes, and has natural hair often covered by a durag.
