Prince William has arrived in Germany with Prince George ahead of the Euro 2024 finals tonight – but his youngest son is nowhere to be seen.

The two royals were seen beaming as they took their seats in the stand this evening, with the young prince – who will turn 11 in a few days – looking excitedly out onto the pitch at Olympiastadion Berlin as English and Spanish players prepared for the starting whistle.

Prince Louis has not joined his dad and older brother, as the game will likely extend long past the six-year-old’s bed time. William and George can be seen walking into the Olympiastadion Berlin on a red carpet in a new video posted to X by the official Kensington Royal account.

Brits have reacted with delight to the appearance of the two royals ahead of the game this evening, with many responding to the post online. One social media user said: “They look well and ready for the game.” Another added: “Enjoy the match Prince William and Prince George, I hope it’s very special night for Prince George and a memory everlasting.”

Another user said in a post on X that it was also “brilliant” to see Sir Keir Starmer alongside the two in Berlin. They said: “Brilliant to see Prince William and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in Berlin.”

Some were clearly feeling the absence of Prince Louis, who has long been a fan favourite of most royal watchers. One fan said: “Ok, they showed the king of Spain and Prince William, now show Louis.”

The two have followed in the footsteps of Kate, the Princess of Wales, and Princess Charlotte, who appeared hours earlier at the Wimbledon finals – Louis did not attend this sporting event either.

The Princess, 42, received a standing ovation as she arrived at the venue, with the appearance being just her second since spring this year. Kensington Palace revealed earlier this year that doctors had detected traces of cancer during an abdominal procedure, and she has received treatment for several months.

She was last present at Trooping the Colour, the King’s official birthday, in June, and appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside her husband and three children after processing down the mall to the official residence in a carriage. The appearance at Trooping the Colour was seen as a move that would help reassure the public she is on the mend.
