While Brad Pitt is currently entrenched in a years-long legal battle with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, including fights over property and custody battles, it seems his reported new girlfriend is facing some legal issues of her own.
In details obtained by the Sun, Pitt’s new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, was reportedly slapped with a tax lien, alongside her estranged husband Paul Wesley. The public records show that the two are ordered to pay nearly $13,000 to New Jersey’s division of taxation, specifically given a tax lien.
For those who don’t know, a tax lien is a “legal claim a government places on real estate or other assets when the owner is past due on taxes,” per NerdWallet. This basically means that a tax lien is given to those who are past due on taxes, and their assets may be seized if still unpaid.
But since she’s the Vice President of the celebrity-loved brand Anita Ko jewelry and her ex is an actor, the taxes may be paid off sooner than most others.
For those who don’t know, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star and Ramon attended the star-studded LACMA gala together this year, but skipped the red carpet (and did the same with the Babylon afterparty)!
The lovebirds were first seen out together in Nov 2022, less than six months after it was announced that she and her estranged husband, Vampire Diaries alum Wesley, called it quits.
Since then, Pitt and Ramon have made their title official by reportedly calling each other their partners, and along with that, they celebrated New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, and movie premieres together.
