Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, died on Jan. 26, 2020, following a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. According to the LA County Sheriff’s Office, there were nine people on the helicopter — a pilot and eight passengers — and no survivors.

Kobe is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and their three other daughters, Natalia, Bianka and Capri.

Kobe played with the Los Angeles Lakers for all 20 seasons of his career, which included being an 18-time All-Star and 15-time member of the All-NBA Team. He won five rings with the Lakers in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 and 2010. He was the fourth-leading scorer in NBA history with 33,643, surpassed in the rankings just one day before his death by LeBron James.

ET is looking back at his illustrious NBA career and major moments from his public life in pictures.
